BSCRA: It is the policy of BSCRA to safeguard the welfare of all young and vulnerable people while they are involved in its activities at BSCRA events by protecting them from emotional, physical, and sexual harm.

The BSCRA Council: It is the responsibility of the BSCRA Council to provide and encourage a completely open environment in which inappropriate behavior cannot be concealed, to provide guidelines to members which make clear what constitutes inappropriate behavior, and to monitor the operation of the BSCRA and its members.

The Members: It is the responsibility of all adult members of the BSCRA to ensure that their behavior, and that of others, is appropriate at all times.

The Parents of Visitors to BSCRA Events: It is the responsibility of the parents of young visitors at BSCRA events to look after their children at all times and to help BSCRA members wherever appropriate.

The Parents of BSCRA Members: It is the responsibility of the parents of young members of BSCRA to assure themselves that this policy is implemented and that their children are being treated properly. Any reasonable assistance will be given for them to achieve this.

BSCRA Child Protection Officer : The BSCRA Council shall appoint a Child Protection Officer (CPO).  The  CPO will be the prime point of contact for child protection issues.  Anybody who receives allegations of child abuse at a BSCRA meeting shall promptly report it to the CPO.
