Following our very successful 1/32 British Open
Championship on 19/20 November 2011, we
have to move to the rifle range, which is on the same site but
right at the far end. We have to do some structural work to the room as well as
cosmetic stuff so the track will probably be out of action for a couple of
months depending how much help we get. The track will fit without modification
but the drivers rostrum will be at the end although we haven’t decided which
end yet.

Race Report on the 1/32 British Open Championship Meeting 19/20 November 2011
Lap length 46.4 metres (152' 3" in old money). Is there a longer 4 lane anywhere now? It looks and feels like a four lane raceway. It can be used in eitehr direction. Looking from the drivers rostrum, the cars pass from left to right in even years and the opposite direction in odd years. Times look like about 5.7 for sports, 6.3 group 12, 6.6 1/24th production. Probably a bit faster with good cars.

The Dowty BOC is going ahead as planned, so I hope you haven’t
cancelled your hotel rooms. We have been told that we can stay in the current
club room until the end of November 2011 so the BOC can go ahead as planned. We
look forward to seeing you there.

Directions
to the clubroomFrom junction 11 on the M5 head towards Gloucester on the A40. Take the fifth exit from the roundabout (B4063). Carry on through Churchdown, straight across the junction by the Hare & Hounds pub, continue past Brickhampton Golf Club and turn left signposted Down Hatherley opposite Golden Castle Caravans. After passing the factory on your right, turn right immediately before the Sports & Social sign and follow the road to the car park. The track is in the concrete sectional building in the far corner of the car park.
