National Club Team Championship and Production Challenge 2009

Headlines:

NLSME win the Team Race by 18 laps from Roedale with Luton 3^rd and Fylde 4^th.

James Cleave wins both Super Production and Falcon F1.

Team Race

Quite a close race with all 4 eligible teams in the lead at one time or another. NL took the lead after having the two most difficult lanes early on. They had motor trouble quite early but a ‘fingers only’ jiggle of the brush springs at each lane change seemed to revive the motor for most of the 23 minute subsequent run. Fylde had motor trouble slow them for much of the race. Roedale changed a gear and Luton’s motor wasn’t that bright either. They lost 2^nd place in the last section on the difficult black lane when Roedale were flying along with their car now perfect and Ian B on a good lane. Only 4 eligible club teams present. “Shoes for Pigeons” and “Darkside” also took part.
