BSCRA Rule Change Proposals

Voting on the following rule change proposals took place on 28 February 2009.

1 In the 1/24 classes, body heights shall be measured from the bottom of  the chassis (using a recessed tech block)

Passed - comes into force immediately

2 As 1 for the 1/32 classes.

Passed - comes into force AFTER the 1/32 Nationals

NOTE (proposals 1 & 2) - This gives a more consistent height measurement free from variations due to tyre size and braid tweaking. It has been tested in the 2008 1/24 BOC. It will allow a slightly higher rear body height, and in some cases slightly higher nose height in 1/24 Saloon.

3    Endbell ball races shall be allowed in 1/32 saloon motors

Rejected

Amendment 3A Endbell ball races shall also be allowed in 1/24 production saloon motors

Rejected
4    Endbell ball races shall be allowed in 1/32 super production motors

Rejected

NOTE (proposals 3 & 4) Can end ball races are already allowed in both these classes

5   In any meeting where qualifying for a class takes place on the day prior to the race, any racer who practiced for that class on that day and who elects (for whatever reason) not to qualify until the following day, cannot, regardless of time or distance covered, qualify higher than the previous days bottom qualifier. Racers who genuinely arrive on the day of the race can qualify as normal.

Passed - comes into force 1st June 2009  (Note the original proposal was amended, see words in italics)
